Feel it, live it

People over 70 tend to feel about 13 years younger than their age, and tend to believe they look about 10 years younger than they are.
Women generally feel they look closer to their real age than men, and people in poor health report a smaller gap between the age they feel and their real age.
The findings are from a study by an American team which surveyed 516 men and women aged 70 or more over a six-year period.
"People generally felt quite a bit younger than they actually were, and they also showed relatively high levels of satisfaction with aging over the time period studied," said Professor Jacqui Smith, a research psychologist at the University of Michigan's Institute for Social Research.
The results support previous research which has shown that feeling youthful is linked to health and longevity.
